Where I've worked

10+ years across government, enterprise, healthcare, and big tech.

AI Solutions Architect · Civic Plus

Oct 2025 – Present

Building AI products end to end — RAG systems, deep research platforms, ML pipelines, and automation workflows on AWS Bedrock and OpenRouter, with FastAPI/Flask backends and React front ends. Architected an AI workflow that won a Stevie Award and saves over $300K a year.

Team Lead & System Architect · Department of Transportation

Jan 2024 – Sep 2025

Designed, architected, and developed the greenfield 511 traffic system (PGC Trip) for the DOT — React, Express, and FastAPI microservices on AWS, with Redis and PostgreSQL data layers and Ionic React apps for web, iOS, and Android.

Senior Software Engineer III · Meta

Jun 2022 – Jan 2024

Internal network infrastructure team — rebuilt Meta's fiber optic management platform (Glassworks) using React, Relay, Flow, and PostgreSQL against Meta's design system, reworking the entire fiber rollout pipeline with stakeholders.

Team Lead & System Architect · Prime Medical

May 2020 – May 2022

Architected the patient management system and document data lake across 12 clinics. Full-stack Ionic React + Node/Express on AWS ECS/RDS/DocumentDB, plus a TensorFlow + AWS Textract ML pipeline for digitizing scanned patient records.

Senior Software Engineer · Red Hat

Feb 2017 – Mar 2020

Built and maintained redhat.com on the digital marketing team. Led the transition to web components and a new site-wide design system, championed accessibility and i18n, and converted a 7–8 hour manual deploy into automated GitLab CI/CD on Docker and OpenShift.

Software Developer · Vail Resorts

Jan 2013 – Feb 2017 · Broomfield, CO

Worked across Vail's digital footprint — careers site redesign, the full ten-mountain resort site redesign, and the native iOS and Android app. Contributed to EpicMix Time, a release that helped Fast Company rate Vail among the top 50 most innovative companies. Primary focus on front-end, with .NET, iOS, and Android contributions.

The stack I live in.

TypeScript, React, and Redux on the front end. Node and Express on the server, Python with FastAPI and Flask for services. PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis, and SQL Server on the data side. AWS for everything — ECS, RDS, Bedrock, CDK.

Ionic React for cross-platform mobile when one codebase is the right call, native iOS and Android when it isn't. CI/CD on GitLab and Docker, with OpenShift in the mix from the Red Hat years. Eight years of system architecture, eight years of team lead and scrum work, ten-plus years of UI/UX.

I care about the little things that matter: accessibility, internationalization, deployment automation, and turning seven-hour manual releases into one-click pipelines.

Meta

Glassworks — Fiber Optic Management
